SCCM 2012 R2 OSDFailed to get client identity 80004005
Submitted by Justin on Thu, 08/28/2014 - 10:28
So I was trying to image a computer using PXE. the computer booted into PE but would reboot after loading the network. I rebooted into PXE, hit F8 (you have to have this enabled on your boot image)
IPConfig showed network was properly configured
DiskPart showed I had a drive.
looked in the smsts.log file and I had the error: Failed to get client identity 80004005
everything looks right and it should work. I deleted all unknown computers from the console. rebooted and the same thing.
Next I checked the time by typing TIME. Time was correct.
Checked the date by typing DATE. Date was off. set the proper date, rebooted and long behold it worked...
Make sure your time and date are proper.
